UHAMKA History ...
UHAMKA stands for Universitas Muhammadiyah Professor Doctor Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, counted as the longest university name at Muhammadiyah Higher Education Council of Muhammadiyah Organization. The formal site at: www.muhammadiyah.or.id.

UHAMKA first Rector : Prof. Dr. Qomari Anwar, he was an alumni from IKIP Muhammadiyah Jakarta (a.k.a. UHAMKA), from English Education Department for his Bachelor Degree, Master Degree from Sussex University, United Kingdom and Doctoral degree from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Indonesia
Second Rector : Prof. Dr. Suyatno he was graduated as alumni of the almamater, from Bahasa Indonesia Department. Master Degree and Doctoral Degree from Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Jakarta.
Third Rector : Prof. Dr. Gunawan Suryoputro, also alumni of UHAMKA, previously IKIP Muhammadiyah Jakarta, from English Education Department. Master Degree acquired from and Doctoral Degree from Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya, Jakarta

1. Faculty of Economics and Bussiness  The Dean is Dr. Nuryadi Wijiharjono. 
2. Faculty of Education. The Dean is Dr. Desvian Bandarsyah. This is a biggest faculty with student body more than half of UHAMKA students. This faculty has 12 departments as History Education, Geography Education, Economics Education, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Physics Education, Biology Education, and Mathematics Education.
3. Faculty of Engineering The Dean is Dr. Sugema
4. Faculty of Health Sciences The Dean is Dr. Oni Linda
5. Faculty of Islamic Studies
6. Faculty of Pharmacy The Dean is Dr. Hadi Sunaryo
7. Faculty of Psychology
8. Faculty of Medicine The Dean is Dr. dr. Wawang S. Sukarya
